Who is the 20-foot container right for in Panama?
The 20ft is the size we recommend most when space or budget is tight. It fits where a full trailer cannot go: the parking lot of a shop in Panama City, a backyard in Panamá Oeste, a farm in Chiriquí, or a spare corner of a construction site. With 33 cubic meters of capacity it holds the inventory of a mid-sized store, a full crew's tools and materials, or an entire office's archived files. If you are torn between 20 and 40 feet, think of it this way: the 20ft is far easier to place and relocate, and you can always add a second unit later. If you need serious volume from day one, look at the 40ft instead.
Available grades: WWT, Cargo Worthy and one-trip
We handle 20-foot containers in three conditions. WWT (Wind & Water Tight) units are sealed against wind and rain — the best value for storage and on-site use. Cargo Worthy units also retain the structure needed for maritime transport and can be certified with a CSC plate. One-trip units arrive from the factory after a single voyage, practically new. As a reference, Panama market ranges for a used 20ft typically run between $1,900 and $2,500 before ITBMS and delivery, depending on grade and availability. Delivering and placing a 20ft
A 20ft is normally delivered on a tilt-bed truck that slides the container straight onto the ground, no crane required. For that, the site needs roughly 18 meters of straight-line access, a gate at least 3 meters wide, and firm, level ground; concrete blocks under the corners help with ventilation and drainage. In the Panama City metro area, delivery usually takes 3 to 7 business days after the purchase is confirmed; in remote areas, 10 to 14. If your access is complicated — slopes, tight turns, low cables — tell us up front: we evaluate the site and confirm exactly what equipment the job needs.
