Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about containers in Panama
What types of containers do you offer?
We offer 20ft, 40ft, and 40ft High Cube containers in both used and new conditions. We also handle refrigerated containers and modified containers for offices, homes, and other special uses.
How do quotes work?
Every project is unique, so we provide personalized quotes based on container size, condition, delivery location, and any required modifications. Contact us via WhatsApp with your project details and we'll send you a detailed quote within 24 hours or less.
Do you include delivery? What areas do you serve?
Yes, we deliver throughout the Republic of Panama. Delivery cost varies by location and site accessibility. We regularly deliver to Panama City, Colón, David, Santiago, Chitré and other major cities. Contact us for a specific quote.
What condition are the used containers in?
All our used containers are inspected before sale. We categorize by grades: Cargo Worthy (CW) for structurally sound containers and Wind & Water Tight (WWT) for leak-free containers with cosmetic wear. We provide real photos before purchase.
How long does delivery take?
Once payment and delivery coordinates are confirmed, we typically deliver within 3-7 business days in the metropolitan area. For remote areas or provinces, it may take 10-14 days depending on transport availability.
Do I need permits to place a container on my property?
It depends on use and location. For temporary storage on rural private property, permits are generally not required. For commercial use, structural modifications, or urban locations, you may need municipal permits. We recommend checking with your local municipality.
Can I modify the container (windows, doors, insulation)?
Yes, we offer modification services including cuts for windows and doors, basic electrical installation, thermal insulation, painting, and ventilation. We also work with your custom specifications. Contact us to discuss your project.
What site preparation is needed to receive the container?
The area must be level and firm. We recommend a compacted gravel base or concrete blocks at the corners. The delivery truck needs maneuvering space (minimum 12 meters access). If there are slopes or soft ground, additional preparations may be required.
Do you offer a warranty?
Used containers are sold 'as is' but we guarantee the condition matches the description and photos provided. For new containers, manufacturer warranty applies against structural defects. Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Do you accept financing or installment payments?
We currently require full payment before delivery. We accept bank transfers, ACH, and cash. For large projects or corporate purchases, we can discuss special terms. Contact us for more information.
How long does a container last in Panama's tropical climate?
With basic maintenance (painting every 3-5 years, roof cleaning), a quality container can last 20-25 years in stationary use. Cargo Worthy containers in good condition can last even longer. Tropical climate accelerates oxidation, which is why maintenance is key.
Can I see the container before buying it?
Yes, you can visit our yard to see available inventory. We also send photos and videos of the specific container before purchase. We recommend in-person inspection when possible to ensure it meets your expectations.
